jessica“Here at Kitakyushu, there is a really welcoming atmosphere, allowing you to make lots of friends with both other exchange students and Japanese students. The teachers are all amazing, the staff at the centre are really caring, and there are so many opportunities to improve your language skills while experiencing many interesting aspects of Japanese culture!”

assane“If you’re looking for a city which harmonizes tradition and modernism, nature and urbanism, a quiet life and a bustling city centre, and all of this in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, then Kitakyushu is the place to go.
Not only is the rent cheap, but you also have many affordable but delicious restaurants in the vicinity, amazing bus tours organized by the university for almost nothing, and you even get a free bicycle.
Moreover, as there aren’t many foreigners, your Japanese improves really quickly.
And finally, people in Kyushu are absolutely lovely, they are so friendly, caring, and always willing to help you, that they make you feel at home.”
